Our normal registration period ended on June 30th, but there is still time to register for the 2014-2015 Religious Education Program. Registrations were sent by email back in April 4th.
Don't have it? No problem! Forms can be downloaded here or picked at the church rectory Monday through Friday.

JOIN SCOUTING AT SAINT JOSEPH

If your son is 7 years of age or older and is looking to have fun, build character, develop personal fitness and become a good citizen, consider signing him up for Cub Scouts at Saint Joseph Parish.  Cub Scout Pack 142 (along with Boy Scout Troop #142) have a long history with our parish and have produced 31 Eagle Scouts since 1999.

2014-2015 Registration

Please make sure to check your email for the 2014-2015 Religious Education Program Registration forms. If you did not get it or if received a file that cannot be opened, please let us know by email at religioused@sjcnj.org or by phone at (201)261-1144 and provide us with your current email. We will send you a new email.

Every year, current students must re-register to continue in the program. 

Please read the letter enclosed with registration forms. 

Due date to return your child/ren registration is June 30th, 2014.

SAVE THE DATE!

There will be a Parents' meeting on Sunday, September 7th at 9:45 am for K-6 grades, and Sunday, September 14th at 9:45 am for 7-8 grades. Text books and all information will be given at these meeting.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The greatest week of all year is here. We remember God's indescribable love for us. He sent his only Son to pay the price for our sins so we may have abundant life(Jn.10:10). This is the time not only to commemorate what Jesus did for us, but to thank him and acknowledge who we really are: dearest sons and daughters of a loving God. I hope you take time in prayer and meditation of Jesus greatest gift. Have a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter!

Penance Service

Sixth Grade Students

The Penance service which was cancelled due to snow on November 11, 2013, has been rescheduled. All Sixth grade students will attendance a Penance service on Monday, March 24th at 3:45 pm in the Upper Church.

Third Grade Parents

The Penance service which was cancelled due to snow on February 3, has been rescheduled. Allthird grade students will attendance a Penance service on Monday, March 3rd at 3:45 pm in the Upper Church.

Wednesday, February 05, 2014 CCD Classes Cancelled

Once again CCD classes are cancelled for today Wednesday, January 05.

There will be no afternoon or evening classes. Classes will resume next Wednesday Feb. 12

Class Cancellation

Tuesday January 21, 2014

 Once again, due to the inclement weather, our Tuesday's session has been cancelled for today Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Although we are cancelling the class, students will have to review today's lesson (see lesson plan at right size of this page). It is important that you help you children in case they need assistance. Teachers will only do a quick review of the lesson next week, and it will count as a given class.

Grade 5 Penance Service Date Changed

The Penance Service for Grade 5 originally scheduled for Monday, January 20 has been changed due to the public school schedule. Grade 5 will now attend a Penance Service on Monday, January 27 at 3:45 pm. 
All Grade 5 students should go to the Upper Church on that day.

Grade 7 Retreat Reminder

Just a reminder that the Grade 7 retreat is scheduled for Friday, January 24.  

All grade 7 students should report to the lower school gym at 6:30 pm and they should be picked up at 9 pm.  

We will provide a snack during the retreat but the children should eat dinner before they come.

This will be a great experience for the children.  

The retreat will be led by members of our parish Peer Ministry group which is directed by Anthony Armando, Youth Minister.
